CELLURASE

Cellulite is the term for the formation of lumps and dimples in the skin. The appearance of ‘bumpy’ skin varies in shape and size and is present in over 80% of people over the age of 20. It can affect both men and women, however, is more common in females due to the different distributions of fat, muscle and connective tissue.

Cellurase is a new treatment in the UK although it has been used successfully in Europe for some time. ADL are one of the first clinics in the UK to offer this treatment. Cellurase treats cellulite by breaking and releasing the bands of fibrous connective tissue with a special microblade. This allows the skin to spring back resulting in a smoother appearance.

Cellurase treatment consists of 2 stages:

Stage 1
Injection lipolysis (breakdown of the fat by injecting Aqualyx)

Stage 2
Breakdown of connective tissue strands using the Cellurase blade.

Prior to treatment, a detailed medical history will be taken, helping the medical specialist to determine whether Cellurase is an appropriate treatment for you. Not all patients are suitable, including those who have soft cellulite, bleeding disorders, are pregnant/breastfeeding or allergic to anaesthetic.

During this consultation you will be asked about the results you are hoping to achieve, assessed and advised about how many peels you will require and explained the potential risks and aftercare recommendations are discussed.
